A Message From Marie Ortiz: Happy 2009!

Welcome to the SuperSlow Zone®. Well, here we are in the dead of winter, where in some parts of the country, the ability to wear anything less than 5 layers of clothing must seem like a distant memory. The USA is experiencing a cold snap like never before, driving more people indoors – and onto that big, comfy couch in front of the TV. In fact, some people (not you, of course) are probably wondering what the point of exercising is at all when all of those extra layers of fat can help keep them warm. Luckily, some other people, like you, know better. Which is most likely why you’re here, in the SuperSlow Zone®.

You know that winter doesn’t have to be an endless slog through hours of mindless television shows and endless bags of cookies and chips. Exercising your body will help you feel better no matter what the weather is like outside. A strong body means a stronger immunity system, meaning you’ll get less colds and flus and bounce back faster if a bug does bite you.
