Exercise and Strength Training Franchise SuperSlow Zone Continues US Expansion By Establishing Two New Certification Centers31 Aug 2010, 3:17 pmMadeline Ross, CEO of exercise franchise SuperSlow Zone, LLC, announces the successful certification of two SuperSlow Zone® owners as Level III-Qualified Certifiers
Orlando, Fla. – August 31, 2010 – SuperSlow Zone®, LLC, is proud to announce that it recently awarded two, and soon to add seven more, SuperSlow Zone® owners with a Level III-Qualified Certifier status who completed a rigorous eight-month education and certification program. This means that SuperSlow Zone® added two more national certifying centers which are now accredited and certified to certify SuperSlow Zone® Level I Instructors.
“Our Level III – Qualified Certifier [Level III – QC] education program and certification is governed by the International Association For Continuing Education and Training (www.IACET.org), the most prestigious, global accrediting organization, and our two SuperSlow® Masters, Dan Carter of Scottsdale, Arizona and Ryan Womack, of College Station, Texas,” said Madeline Ross, Founder and CEO of SuperSlow Zone®.
Ross remarked, “We are very proud of our first two certified Level III – QCs, Kevin Clemente, co-owner of SuperSlow Zone® Flemington, NJ, and Thom Tombs, co-owner of SuperSlow Zone® Carlsbad, CA, for achieving this status. They are now approved to certify Level I Candidates, the personnel cornerstone of our franchises. As a company, our commitment is to continually develop and highlight the talent of all our professionals by helping them advance their knowledge and skills. In addition to Kevin and Thom, we have seven more Level III – QC Candidates ready to test soon. Our standards are very rigorous…they have to be so that we continually add value to our brand. Additionally, at the completion of our Level III – QC initiative, we will have a total of 11 national locations approved to certify Level I Instructors to our meticulous standards. Expanding to eleven national certifying centers enables existing and new franchise owners a more cost effective approach to getting their personnel certified while upholding the standards we must to be IACET accredited.”
“Dan and Ryan are integral to our education and certification program for Level III – Qualified Certifiers. Under their leadership, the Level III – QCs are taught by, and experience, our two Masters. Dan and Ryan have a combined nineteen years expertise in training clients, teaching at the SuperSlow Zone® Institute, certifying Level I Candidates and now imparting their wisdom and knowledge to the Level III – QCs. Learning how to certify Level I Candidates from Masters who know where the rubber hits the road from doing this for years combined with the standards of our certification system…it doesn’t get any better than this!” Ross continued.

Exercise and Strength Training Franchise SuperSlow Zone Prepares For US Expansion By Leveraging Ten SuperSlow Zone Locations28 Jul 2010, 4:06 pmMadeline Ross, CEO of exercise franchise SuperSlow Zone, LLC, announces the successful completion of SuperSlow Zone owners as Level II Instructors and preparing for Level III
Orlando, Fla. – July 28, 2010 – SuperSlow Zone, LLC, is proud and excited to announce that it awarded eight, and soon to add two more, SuperSlow Zone owners with a Level II status by completing a rigorous seven-month education and certification program. This pre-stages the next step in which these same SuperSlow Zone® owners will complete the status of Level III – Qualified Certifier.
“Our education programs and certifications are governed by the International Association For Continuing Education and Training (www.IACET.org), the most prestigious, global accrediting organization, and two SuperSlow® Masters, Dan Carter of Scottsdale, Arizona and Ryan Womack, of College Station, Texas,” said Madeline Ross, Founder and CEO of SuperSlow Zone®.
“Because we run with the ‘global, big dog companies/organizations’ that are accredited by IACET, with USA examples such as the American Physical Therapy Association, National Institute of Health, Centers for Disease Control and, Duke University Medical Center, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Corporate University, GE Healthcare, etc. our standards are very high and consistent,” continued Ross. “This select group of SuperSlow Zone® owners took eight CEU courses totally 9.5 hours of class time, taught one CEU course, passed written and oral exams, and completed a writing assignment to be used as they now teach for our Institute. When you combine this with the fact they are successful SuperSlow Zone® owners, you have the best of all world – they know where the rubber hits the road by producing tremendous client satisfaction and results blended with expanded knowledge and skills.”
About the rigorous IACET standards, Madeline Ross said, “Important fundamentals of our program are the education and leadership from Dan and Ryan, our two SuperSlow® Masters, and peer-to-peer assessments of each student’s performance each class, both of which sharpened their overall knowledge development, practical application and their skills for giving and receiving effective feedback. Additionally, these Level IIs already are, or will, be teaching for our institute. Building our knowledge-base wide and deep with successful, competent SuperSlow Zone owners is critical. Our IACET accredited program, and it’s challenging, high standards, is particularly important at a time when the public consistently encounters a personal training industry that can be an ungoverned, non-accredited, unsafe, ‘hey – I’m just like you’… free-for-all.”
“With the support and expertise of our two SuperSlow® Masters, Dan and Ryan, each Level II student had the opportunity be educated and assessed by the very BEST, a combined nineteen years of our SuperSlow® Master’s experience,” continued Ross.
As these ten SuperSlow Zone® owners advance to Level III – Qualified Certifier, SuperSlow Zone® will be adding ten additional certifying centers throughout the US. This is particularly important for SuperSlow Zone’s focus on the corporate wellness market through two strategic partners, who have a combined 18 years in the corporate wellness segment.

Exercise and Strength Training Franchise SuperSlow Zone® Lone Tree, CO, Completes Biggest Loser Contest And Beats The National TV Show Winners30 Jun 2010, 3:21 pmMadeline Ross, CEO of exercise franchise SuperSlow Zone®, LLC, commends the Biggest Loser Contest Winners of SuperSlow Zone Lone Tree, CO, For Fantastic Results
Orlando, Fla. – June 30, 2010 – Christie Taylor, General Manager of SuperSlow Zone® Lone Tree, CO, recently hosted a 12 week Biggest Loser Contest in which her contestants achieved better results than the national TV show contestants. The precise difference is that SuperSlow Zone®’s contestants did a 20 minute work out, twice and week…that’s all…and followed SuperSlow Zone®’s healthy eating program, Transitions Lifestyle System™. Compare this to the national contestants who did 3-6 hours a day/7days a week of workouts and calorie counting every day. Ross stated, “I selected Transitions Lifestyle Systems™ as our healthy eating program because it is based on sound science, easy to follow and convenient. Clients of all ages can and will make lasting healthy life changing habits combining SuperSlow Zone® exercise with this eating method. It works…that is what we all really care about.” (http://franchise.superslowzone.com/biggest-loser)
“Listening to client’s struggle every day with their concerns about ‘weight loss’ wasn’t exactly what we signed up for when we started our SuperSlow Zone® franchise two and a half years ago,” said Taylor, “The good news is, we can help and our client’s tune completely change!” Twenty-five contestants started the contest but only twelve completed the challenge. The contestants that dropped out all did ‘their own eating program.’ The twelve that completed with exceptional results combined SuperSlow Zone™ personal strength training with Transitions Lifestyle System™. This proves once again the simple power of combining SuperSlow Zone®’s amazing 20 minute personal strength training exercise with a sensible, science-based eating approach that is doable and very effective.
The contest winner Tara Kirkpatrick – So Far Off The Wagon, Was There Hope?
Taylor commented, “Tara came in on January 1st 2010 and told me she had fallen so far off the wagon that she actually succumbed to her husband’s request of brownies and ice cream for breakfast and, why not, it was his birthday!!! I really knew I had my hands full at that point.” Taylor continued, “Tara has suffered from bad knees, bad back, back headaches, you name it! This goes to show that dedication and support through our system works. She showed up twice a week for 12 weeks doing her SuperSlow Zone 20 minute, two times a week work out and Transitions Lifestyle program…with only a couple cheats and WOW! Tara is down 40+ inches, lost 27.6 lbs and lost 39% body fat in our 12-week contest. She looks and feels like a whole new person. As you can imagine, I am very proud of all our contestants.”
Commending the other contest winners are Nancy Ballard, second place winner, losing 35.85 total inches, 33.2bs total lbs and 34.70% body fat, third place winner, Jodie Streeter, losing 20.8 total inches, 24.4bs lbs and 8.22 total inches, Kelli Flagg, Overall Total Winner since starting SuperSlow Zone® one year and two months ago by losing 52.25 total inches and 57.2 lbs and Anne Adkins, the Staff Biggest Loser who lost 27 total inches and 25.6 lbs in 10 months.

Exercise and Strength Training Franchise SuperSlow Zone® Features Ex-Disney Executive, Lee Cockerell, At Special Speaking Event27 Apr 2010, 2:43 pmMadeline Ross, CEO of exercise franchise SuperSlow Zone®, LLC, attends event hosted by The Mabrys of SuperSlow Zone San Antonio which featured international author and speaker, Lee Cockerell.

Orlando, Fla. – April 27, 2010 – Harvey and Marjorie Mabry, SuperSlow Zone Master Developers for Bexar County (San Antonio), TX, and their staff, hosted a special event for about 50 people as a gift to their SuperSlow Zone clients, family, friends and community to hear international author and speaker, Lee Cockerell (http://www.LeeCockerell.com), former Executive Vice President of Operations for the Walt Disney World® Resort. Lee’s topic was ‘management and leadership’ and is based on his book, Creating Magic…10 Common Sense Leadership Strategies From a Life at Disney. One of Lee’s major and lasting legacies was the creation of Disney Great Leader Strategies, which continues on as the primary resource for developing the 7000 leaders at Walt Disney World. His book is co-authored by the Disney Institute and is translated into ten languages. Madeline Ross, Founder and CEO of SuperSlow Zone, attended the event to honor the Mabrys and Mr. Cockerell.
“As the Senior Operating Executive for ten years at Walt Disney World® Resort, Lee led a team of 40,000 Cast Members and was responsible for the operations of 20 resort hotels, 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, a shopping & entertainment village and a sports and recreation complex,” Ross said. “Lee’s experiences closely parallel the career of Harvey Mabry who was President of Retailing at H-E-B Grocery, America’s 11th largest privately held corporation with 12 billion in gross revenues. It was wonderful to have two seasoned corporate leaders, Lee and Harvey, meet. Lee was very inspiring in that he, like myself and Harvey, has a commitment to continually grow and develop in management and leadership skills. Lee is a client of SuperSlow Zone® Windermere, FL so we all also have in common our passion for being fit and healthy…of course SuperSlow Zone® is core to this,” continued Ross.
Lee has lived a lifestyle of health and fitness and became a client of SuperSlow Zone® in January, 2010. As of April 2010, Lee has dropped 11 pounds and lost 6% body fat. These are pretty great results from a 20 minute work out, 2 times a week. “Everyone can do this work out,” said Lee. “Tremendous results from focus and concentration. I keep consistent with this because I have an appointment with a professional, certified SuperSlow Zone® Instructor. Who doesn’t have 20 minutes? Plus, I exercise in what I have on for the day. You can’t get more convenient than this. The way I think about it is, ‘go slow and save your life!’”
“Lee is not hired by SuperSlow Zone® to promote us,” said Ross. “He talks about SuperSlow Zone® in his blogs (http://blog.leecockerell.com), speeches, seminars, etc. because he, and his wife Priscilla, have achieved such great results in a very short time and continue to sustain great health. SuperSlow Zone® is one, critical part of this. As a leader, speaking in the US and abroad, he says what’s on his mind…and people of the world being fit and healthy is a BIG passion of Lee’s.”

This culminated with her taking our three rigorous IACET accredited (www.iacet.org) SuperSlow Zone® certification exams. She did an outstanding job. Her excellent command of English, the hours of study she put in and her tenacious focus enabled her to achieve a score ‘92’ out of ‘100’ on the written exam alone. This is tough for our American certification candidates to do so hats off to Dilek!” said Madeline Ross, CEO of SuperSlow Zone®, LLC.
Mrs. Emir’s SuperSlow Zone® certification exams we administered by eight year veteran SuperSlow® Master, Ryan Womack. Womack remarked, “I had the privilege of certifying and working with Dilek Emir from Turkey in her Level I SuperSlow Zone® certification program. Her knowledge and comprehension of the SuperSlow® material is second to none. What makes this more amazing is that Dilek did the entire certification in English…her second language.”
“I also want to thank Thom Tombs, Co-Owner of SuperSlow Zone – Carlsbad, CA for being her USA Study Coach and interning her at his location. He did a fantastic job with Dilek. Her excitement and enjoyment of working with clients as they do our SuperSlow® exercise is obvious. Dilek will add so much to the SuperSlow Zone® and her presence in Turkey adds to SuperSlow Zone’s® influence on a Global Market. I know I will see Dilek’s full potential grow as she helps clients get in shape for life,” continued Womack.

Exercise Franchise SuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek Holds Client Appreciation Event to Benefit Next Door Solutions22 Dec 2009, 1:41 pmSuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek, in San Jose, California, recently hosted a client appreciation event which benefited domestic violence charity organization, Next Door Solutions and others.
San Jose, Calif. – December 22, 2009 – In support of Next Door Solutions’ annual Holiday Boutique event, the SuperSlow Zone® (SSZ) at Silver Creek extended their reach through their client base. Acting as a drop-off point for donations, SSZ Silver Creek provided to their clients, as well as the community, a delivery point for gifts supporting the domestic violence charity organization.
The Silver Creek location of SuperSlow Zone® held a somewhat-rowdy “blind auction” in their client appreciation event Friday, December 11th, where clients had the opportunity to, well, “pay back” their instructors by working THEM out! The proceeds from the auction went to Next Door Solutions, whose director, Jeanne Huber, was amongst those bidding to put Marie Ortiz and instructor Julie Vaiz to work. The SuperSlow Zone® staff was extremely pleased with the enthusiasm shown by their clients and the community at this year’s event.
“Not only did we get a great workout – I was actually sore the next day! – But, we were able to do so in a way that benefitted those dealing with domestic violence” noted owner and general manager, Marie Ortiz. SuperSlow Zone® Silver Creek accumulates “workout points” for their clients over the year, and issue them out in December. Their clients then have the option to use those points for credit toward their own workouts, or to donate toward special causes.
“In economic times like these, I’m happy to note that 95% of our clients opted to donate their point value toward not just Next Door Solutions, but the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and National Diabetes Society,” remarked Ortiz.
Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence is a non-profit organization devoted solely to providing life-saving options and safety resources for victims of domestic violence and their children. Our mission is “To End Domestic Violence in the Moment and for All Time.” For more than 37 years, Next Door has provided prevention and intervention services to women, men, children and teens in Santa Clara County. When victims need a safe person to talk to, our 24-hour hotline is there. When abused moms and their children need a safe place to stay, our shelter is there. Next Door’s continuum of services gives domestic violence victims choices in rebuilding their lives.

Health and Exercise Franchise SuperSlow Zone® San Jose Launching Phase 2 of Transitions Lifestyle System™2 Nov 2009, 12:05 pmSuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek (San Jose), a distinctive health and exercise franchise, announces the continuation of Transitions Lifestyle System™, merging its healthy-eating and weight-loss program with SuperSlow’s® strength training protocol.
San Jose, Calif. – November 2, 2009 – After a successful pilot program, SuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek, who recently teamed up with Transitions Lifestyle System™ to integrate its SuperSlow® strength training protocol with Transition’s™ healthy-eating and fat-loss system, is implementing its second phase of the program. Transitions Lifestyle System™ is a scientifically supported, food-based, educational lifestyle change, which includes natural, non-caffeine supplements to kick start faster weight (fat) loss.
Coupling Transitions™ with SuperSlow® workouts drives home the optimal performance by building overall metabolic rate via the creation of muscle – which will reflect in the client’s body-to-fat ratio improvements as they go through the program.
Four SuperSlow® Zone clients have been brave enough to enter this new phase, to take part in this lifestyle-changing program as the holidays rear their ugly head!
“I’m so proud of them,” notes Marie Ortiz, Owner and General Manager of the SuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek. “First, for taking the huge step of implementing a program that is designed for lifestyle changes, but secondly, for doing so right as we’re entering the holiday season! But really, what better time to integrate changes with a group that’s going to support you during the challenges?”
The 12 week program will take the participants through education and active ownership in the way they eat, shop, and make key decisions over their eating choices. “Results across the country have been long-lasting”, Ortiz notes, “reflecting both a deeper weight loss and broader impact on the participants’ lives.”
SuperSlow® has been the leading strength training protocol for more than 26 distinguished years. The SuperSlow® method is an expert-supervised, 20-minute, twice-a-week, strength training protocol that has proven to be the safest, most efficient and effective form of strength training available. SuperSlow Zone’s® clients are men and women of all ages who seek a professional service that delivers maximum results in a minimum amount of time. The addition of Transitions Lifestyle System™ to the SuperSlow® protocol is designed to bolster an already proven muscle-building system with the nutritional education and coaching that SSZ clients need to achieve optimal weight, fitness and health.
Combining Transitions Lifestyle System™ and the SuperSlow® method is an optimal exercise and health program for those who are looking to lose a few, or a lot, of unwanted pounds or inches, and those with medical concerns where a dedicated workout and diet protocol would substantially help. People who are interested in achieving their ideal muscle-to-fat ratio, and want to look and feel great, will find the integration of these two programs especially valuable.
For more information on Transitions Lifestyle System™ Classes, please call Marie Ortiz at 408-578-ZONE (9663).

Recently, Ken remarked, “I started working out at SuperSlow Zone® to get fitter. I was astonished that, after just the first session, I felt more energetic. I’m also stunned by the amount of weight that I’m moving on some of the exercises! My chiropractor has noticed better muscle tone, a trimmer torso, and greater flexibility and range of motion.”
“Ken is just one of many examples” notes Ortiz. “We have an 80 year-old client who, after just one month, could not only reach above her head for the first time in years, but could now tie her bathing suit on by herself. Another senior loves the fact they can now empty the dishwasher without pain. An avid cyclist we have is pushing himself to the limit with results faster than he ever expected, while many women are now receiving complements on how their arms look in those sleeveless summer outfits or noting how baggy their pants are getting! It’s the quality of life changes those strength gains drive that make this exercise program so very exciting”.

Health and Exercise Franchise SuperSlow Zone® San Jose Implementing Transitions Lifestyle System™18 Aug 2009, 8:36 amSuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek (San Jose), a distinctive health and exercise franchise, announces the integration of Transitions Lifestyle System™ to merge its healthy-eating and weight-loss program with SuperSlow® strength training.
San Jose, Calif. – August 18, 2009 – SuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek recently teamed up with Transitions Lifestyle System™ to integrate its SuperSlow® strength training protocol with Transition’s™ healthy-eating and fat-loss system.
Marie Ortiz, owner of SuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek says, “I’m thrilled to bring Transitions Lifestyle Program to the SuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek. The power of Transitions is that it’s not a diet, but a lifestyle change, with long-term benefits along with longer-lasting results – and I’m not just talking about weight loss! It is a proven, science-based simple way of eating healthy…everyone can do it. When clients learn to eat this way, they help clients change their lives, and when combined with SuperSlow’s® powerful workouts, well, results are pretty phenomenal!”
Transitions Lifestyle System™ is a scientifically-supported, food-based, educational lifestyle change, which includes natural, non-caffeine supplements to kick start faster weight (fat) loss.
“Personally, I hate the ‘D’ word (diet), and while I lost weight strictly using SuperSlow®, I knew I had a bit more of a push to make – but didn’t want to go through the traditional, well, starving, I experienced with other programs. In 12 weeks, I lost more than I was aiming for – 12 pounds, PLUS took over 4% off my body fat index. And I never felt hungry, plus found it easy to integrate after I was finished,” remarked Ortiz.
At SuperSlow Zone® locations across the country, clients are already utilizing the integration of these two programs. In six weeks, clients ranging in age from 25 to 59 years old have averaged a loss of 15 pounds each, along with a loss of 3 percent body fat and 12.2 inches.
Julie Vaiz, certified SuperSlow® instructor at the Silver Creek location, also went through the 12-week program recently. Julie remarks, “I have tried many ‘fad diets’ and they all gave the same temporary result. I wanted something I could live by and incorporate into my everyday lifestyle. I finally found it with Transitions. Transitions is so much more than a ‘diet’: it’s accountability and, most importantly, education. What I have learned from the program has become second nature to me in my daily life, and that is what being healthy and fit is all about. Together with the SuperSlow Zone® workout, I feel that I have found the perfect combination to achieve the ‘lifestyle’ I have wanted for so long.”
